Belief Statement
The Bible—All scripture is God’s holy and infallible Word, the very definition of truth. (2 Tim 3:16, Is 55:11, Jn 17:17) “The word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Heb 4:12 NIV)
The Trinity—There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Mt 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14)
Jesus Christ—Jesus Christ, the eternally existent Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a sacrificial death, and was resurrected in order to atone for the sins of those who trust in Him alone for salvation. (Mt 1:16, Heb 4:15, Jn 20:25-29, 2 Cor 5:21)
The Holy Spirit—Every believer receives the Holy Spirit at the time of salvation, providing the guidance and power to follow Jesus. (Eph 1:13, Jn 16:13-14, Rom 8:11)
Salvation—Without Christ, we are spiritually dead and separated from God. By His grace, God forgives the sins of those who believe in Christ alone for salvation, making them forever children of God. (Eph 2:1, Is 59:2, Rom 10:9-10, Eph 2:8-9, Jn 1:12)
Faith—The call of every Christian is to live by faith. It pleases God when we take Him at His word and rest in His character. (Rom 1:17, Heb 11:6) Jesus told His disciples, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” (Jn 6:29)
